Celery (Apium graveolens) is an annual or biennial plant with a fusiform, branched root, which woods during the second year. The stalk is straight, most often hollow, highly branched. The leaves of the plant are located on long petioles. The flowers are white, small, collected in complex umbrellas. The fruit is a double seed. *

Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
