Chlorella Alcohol-Free Liquid Extract — Chlorella vulgaris Dried Entire Plant Glycerite
Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) is a single-celled green freshwater alga of the Chlorellaceae family, found in ponds and standing water worldwide and cultivated commercially in outdoor ponds and closed photobioreactors. Each spherical cell measures only two to ten micrometres across and contains a single cup-shaped chloroplast, which gives the biomass its deep colour. Cultures are harvested, washed and dried to a fine powder. Dried chlorella is a dark green, very fine powder, with a strong marine-vegetal scent and a taste that is grassy and slightly bitter.
The raw material is ethically wild harvested. Extraction is by classical maceration at the lowest practical temperature, in a base of vegetable glycerin and purified artesian water — glycerin and water are the only solvents. The product contains no alcohol, no added sugar, no preservatives and no artificial colours. Its mildly sweet taste comes from the vegetable glycerin itself.
Every incoming batch is tested in our own laboratory to confirm botanical identity and consistency, using HPTLC fingerprinting and FTIR spectral analysis, alongside microbiological screening, viscosity and refractometric measurement. Quality control is guided by USP, Ph. Eur., ISO 17025 and cGLP standards, and a certificate of analysis is available for every batch. Produced at an FDA-registered facility in Honolulu, Hawaii, and shipped from our EU warehouse.

- A glycerite is a liquid plant extract prepared with vegetable glycerin and water instead of alcohol. The plant material is macerated in the glycerin–water base, then pressed and filtered.

- A tincture uses alcohol as the solvent. This product is alcohol-free: the only solvents are vegetable glycerin and purified water.
