Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) is the closest relative to the walnut. The black walnut tree lives up to 70 years. The black walnut tree itself is beautiful and powerful with a wide-spreading, lowered crown. Nuts reach a length of 5, 5 centimeters, and a width of 3, 8 centimeters. Its frost resistance is up to -30С. It grows in deciduous forests, in floodplains of rivers throughout the eastern United States. The northern border of the natural range of its distribution passes in the southern part of the Great Lakes region.

Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
